Disclaimer

Every calculator and generator on Toolsque produces an estimate. It is a starting number, worked out from the inputs you typed and the assumptions printed underneath the result. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for someone who knows your situation.

What the numbers are, and what they are not

Each tool states the formula it used and the assumptions behind it. That is deliberate, and it is the point of the site: you can see how a figure was reached and decide whether it applies to you. What no tool here can do is know the things it was never told. A tax calculator does not know your filing history. A materials calculator does not know your site conditions, your local code edition, or what your supplier actually stocks.

So treat any result as a figure to check, budget against, or argue with. Do not treat it as a decision.

Money, tax and legal figures

Our tax, payroll, pricing and business calculators follow published rules, and we say which year and which jurisdiction those rules come from. Rules change, thresholds are updated, and your circumstances may put you outside the ordinary case entirely. Nothing on this site is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Before you file anything, sign anything, or commit money on the strength of a number from here, check it with a qualified accountant, adviser or solicitor.

Construction and building figures

Quantity, span and cost calculators are built from published standards such as the IRC span tables, UK Approved Documents and manufacturer coverage charts, and each tool names the source it used. They are planning aids. Anything structural, anything that needs sign-off, and anything you are ordering in bulk should be confirmed by a qualified engineer, surveyor or building control officer before work starts.

QR codes, barcodes and the tools that read them

Our generators and decoders run in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to us. A decoded result reflects what the code contains, not whether the destination is safe or genuine, so check where a link goes before you open it. Always test a printed code at its real size before you commit to a print run.

Need someone to look at your actual situation?

The tools are free and always will be. If you need more than an estimate, we offer a free initial consultation: send us the details and we will tell you honestly whether we can help, and where you would be better served by a licensed professional in your own country.

Email hello@toolsque.com, or use the contact form. Include the tool you used and the numbers you put in, and you will get a considered reply rather than a sales pitch.

Found a wrong number?

Tell us. Wrong answers are the reports we want most. Send the tool and the inputs you used to hello@toolsque.com and we will check it against the source and publish a correction. How each tool is built and checked is set out in how we build and test.

Liability

Toolsque is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep every figure correct and we fix errors when they are reported, but we cannot accept liability for loss or damage arising from decisions taken on the basis of a result from this site. Use of the site is subject to our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
