QR Code Uses

Practical uses for QR codes beyond a link on a poster: sharing a guest WiFi network without reading a password aloud, checking guests in at an event, and putting a menu, a review link or a warranty form one scan away.

Each guide here starts from the job, not the code. A QR code on a flyer or poster fails for different reasons than one on a business card or a restaurant table: viewing distance, lighting, lamination and whether the destination can change after printing. The guides give print sizes, what to encode and where to place the code, and they say plainly when a free static code is enough and when a paid platform earns its fee, as in event check in.

Several cover small business admin that a QR code makes easier: asset tagging, asking for Google reviews, warranty registration and tracking scans without an app. When you are ready to make the code, the QR tools generate static codes that never expire, with nothing to sign up for.
