Privacy Policy

This page describes what Toolsque actually does with data. It is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, and it is specific about which services run on the site, because a policy that lists things the site does not use is worse than no policy at all.
At a glance
- Calculators and QR tools run in your browser. The figures, passwords and images you enter are not sent to our server.
- There are no accounts. We only hold an email address if you send us a message or ask for a spreadsheet.
- In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google advertising cookies stay off until you allow them in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on by default, and the cookie settings link switches them off.
- Microsoft Clarity, once allowed, records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, page speed) so we can fix confusing layouts.
- Toolsque is run by the Toolsque Team, with GoProIT LLC as technology partner. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you.
The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Figures you type into a break-even calculator, a job costing sheet or a WiFi QR decoder are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to this site or anywhere else. There is no account system and nothing to sign up for. The only time you deliberately give us data is if you email us, or enter an email address to receive a spreadsheet.
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are switched off until you allow them. Elsewhere they are on by default. Wherever you are, you can change that decision at any time using the cookie settings link.
What the calculators do with your figures
Nothing leaves your device. Each calculator is JavaScript that runs in the page: it reads the numbers from the input fields, performs the arithmetic, and writes the answer back into the page. No request is made to a server with those values in it, they are not logged, and they are gone when you close the tab.
The same is true of the QR tools. When you upload an image to a QR scanner, the decoding happens in your browser. The image is not uploaded. A WiFi QR code contains a network name and password in plain text, and we never see either.
One consequence worth knowing: because nothing is stored, we cannot recover your figures for you and there is no history to look back at.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. The third-party services below can. Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity follow your choice in the cookie banner. Jetpack Stats runs on every visit.

Until you choose, Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising storage, advertising personalisation, advertising user data and analytics storage. Choosing "Analytics only" enables measurement without advertising cookies. Choosing "Reject" leaves all of them off, and the site works exactly the same way.
A functional cookie or local storage entry may be used to remember your cookie choice itself, so you are not asked on every page. That one is necessary for the banner to work and is not used for tracking.
Advertising and Google
Toolsque uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, or in the EU at youronlinechoices.eu. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on its partner sites page.
If you refuse advertising cookies in our banner, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which are chosen from the page you are reading rather than from your browsing history. No ad is placed, ranked or recommended in exchange for payment outside of that system, and there are no affiliate links in the tools or the guides.
Email addresses you give us
Spreadsheet downloads. Some workflow pages offer an Excel file in exchange for an email address. If you use that form we store the address, which file you asked for, and the date. We stopped recording IP addresses and browser user-agent strings against these entries in August 2026, because neither was ever used and neither is needed to send someone a file. The address is used to send you the file and is not sold, rented or passed to advertisers.
The contact form. Messages are emailed to us. The form does not write to a database.
Comments. WordPress comment forms record the name, email address and IP address supplied with a comment. This is standard WordPress behaviour.
To have any of this deleted, email us and say so. We will remove it and confirm. You do not need to give a reason.
Hosting and technical logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web host, their servers keep access logs that include IP addresses, for security and for diagnosing faults. Those logs are Hostinger's, are kept on their retention schedule, and are not something we mine for analytics. A caching layer (LiteSpeed) and Hostinger's CDN sit in front of the site to make it faster and to block attacks; neither builds a profile of visitors.
Legal bases and your rights
UK and EEA. Analytics and advertising cookies, including Microsoft Clarity: your consent, which you give or refuse in the banner and can withdraw at any time. Jetpack Stats page counts and server logs kept for security: legitimate interests in keeping the site usable and not being attacked. Email addresses submitted for a download or a message: consent, and performance of what you asked for.
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
United States. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the Google advertising described above, which you can switch off in the cookie banner or through Google's Ads Settings. California residents can ask what we hold and ask for it to be deleted using the contact details below.
Children
The site is aimed at people running businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
