Privacy Policy

This page describes what Toolsque actually does with data. It is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, and it is specific about which services run on the site, because a policy that lists things the site does not use is worse than no policy at all.
The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Figures you type into a break-even calculator, a job costing sheet or a WiFi QR decoder are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to this site or anywhere else. There is no account system and nothing to sign up for. The only time you deliberately give us data is if you email us, or enter an email address to receive a spreadsheet.
Analytics and advertising cookies are switched off until you allow them. You can change that decision at any time using the cookie settings link.
What the calculators do with your figures
Nothing leaves your device. Each calculator is JavaScript that runs in the page: it reads the numbers from the input fields, performs the arithmetic, and writes the answer back into the page. No request is made to a server with those values in it, they are not logged, and they are gone when you close the tab.
The same is true of the QR tools. When you upload an image to a QR scanner, the decoding happens in your browser. The image is not uploaded. A WiFi QR code contains a network name and password in plain text, and we never see either.
One consequence worth knowing: because nothing is stored, we cannot recover your figures for you and there is no history to look back at.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Three third-party services can, and all three are blocked until you consent.

Until you choose, Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising storage, advertising personalisation, advertising user data and analytics storage. Choosing "Analytics only" enables measurement without advertising cookies. Choosing "Reject" leaves all of them off, and the site works exactly the same way.
A functional cookie or local storage entry may be used to remember your cookie choice itself, so you are not asked on every page. That one is necessary for the banner to work and is not used for tracking.
Email addresses you give us
Spreadsheet downloads. Some workflow pages offer an Excel file in exchange for an email address. If you use that form we store the address, which file you asked for, and the date. We stopped recording IP addresses and browser user-agent strings against these entries in August 2026, because neither was ever used and neither is needed to send someone a file. The address is used to send you the file and is not sold, rented or passed to advertisers.
The contact form. Messages are emailed to us. The form does not write to a database.
Comments. WordPress comment forms record the name, email address and IP address supplied with a comment. This is standard WordPress behaviour.
To have any of this deleted, email us and say so. We will remove it and confirm. You do not need to give a reason.
Hosting and technical logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like any web host, their servers keep access logs that include IP addresses, for security and for diagnosing faults. Those logs are Hostinger's, are kept on their retention schedule, and are not something we mine for analytics. A caching layer (LiteSpeed) and a CDN sit in front of the site to make it faster; neither profiles visitors.
Legal bases, if you are in the UK or EEA
Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, which you give or refuse in the banner and can withdraw at any time. Email addresses submitted for a download or a message: consent, and performance of what you asked for. Server logs kept for security: legitimate interests in keeping the site running and not being attacked.
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
The site is aimed at people running businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
